Progress to Improvement

I’ve been studying the tricks of poker for about a month now. I have started playing in tourneys online with 35 – 40 man for $1. Of course, you have to start somewhere that’s why I did played on those.

At first, I don’t know what exactly to do. I barely last till the top half most of the time. But I never stopped. I looked for some books that could give me some strategies and my determination didn’t failed me. I found one that provided me almost everything I need to know.
But as of now, I am wondering if there is still anything else I can do to speed up my learning and progress to improvement? I play online at least a couple hours a day, and read for roughly another couple of hours. But I feel there’s more I can do. Are there sites that could help me out? How about tables? Any advice will do.

You may want to purchase Wilson Software’s Tournament Texas Holdem program. It is a good tournament trainer that you can use to simulate different tournaments and tournament environments.

Also, you can buy Dan Harrington’s series of books entitled Harrington on Holdem. These are fantastic tournament books and are hailed by top pros to be the best in the business.
