Poker Theory Books

Hello,
First, I’d like to say that you have the best website. Great job!

Anyway, I would just like to ask a question. Is there any good and helpful book on poker theory you could suggest to me? Something which teaches good math principles by which I can use in today’s kind of poker. I’ve tried to scan and read a few books so far but it looks like there are so many fluff involved with those.

Your answer or suggestion will be much appreciated.

Thanks and all the best,

Neil

Neil,

Rolf Slootboom has a great book called Holdem on the Come that is very helpful. The Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide is a book that has a lot of math in the chapters written by Andy Bloch. Those are great chapters.

One DVD option that I recommend for people that want math principles but maybe don’t understand long equations is Final Table Poker. Phil Gordon setup this DVD for Expert Insight. The section on counting outs and figuring Pot Odds is fantastic and gives you a simple basic way to figure odds that are nearly spot on.
