Rigging In Online Poker

Since the advent of online poker the question of rigging has been hitting online pokers for a long time. There is normally no smoke without fire, thus even though some poker players have been claiming that the stories flying around are just rumours, there is need for an investigation to be carried out to substantiate whether these rumours are true or not.

The most common rumour about online poker is that, tables are rigged. The funniest thing about these rumours is that, they are propagated by individuals who previously lost some money while playing online poker. Of course they ask why it is very easy for someone to get very badly beaten in online poker than in poker that is played at casinos.

Experts of online poker games contend that, some of these claims are true while others are not true. Online poker rooms are million dollar industries that do not have to rig to make their millions. The online poker rooms are run by professionals. Rigging is unprofessional, thus they do not engage in it.

Online poker sites cannot afford to fix their games. This is because it is a business investment that has to make returns to its owners. In order to maximise returns they have to ensure that they attract as many customers as possible. In case customers realise that the games they play are normally rigged, they will avoid the online poker site like plague. This means lost business to the online poker room. They thus cannot afford to sink that low.

Anything that is done in darkness will eventually come out one day, it does not matter how long it takes. Human beings are by nature social beings. They always talk about their day to day experiences to their friends and family. Thus, if an online poker room is rigged it will eventually come through careless talk either by your friends or family members.

It is a fact that while playing online poker, chances of you getting badly beaten are so high. This is not because there are more experienced players online. The nature of online poker games is very different from the nature of poker games in a real time casino. That’s why chances of getting beaten in them are so high. It is not because they are rigged.

Online poker games are not real. In as much as they attract all kinds of players, their strategies are usually inferior. They play with inferior hands. This makes them vulnerable to most experienced players who can notice a player using a weak hand from miles away.

Online poker games allow individuals to bet lower amounts. The low amounts, means those online poker players do not mind losing the amounts of money that they bet. Other than that, players always play any hand without giving a hoot of what their opponents have in store for them.

The fact that not the best hands are played, is the reason why online players engage in a lot of bluffing, thereby reducing the quality of the game.

Congratulations on the detailed analysis and indisputable conclusions you have made. I am thoroughly convinced by your purely speculative, anecdotal, unscientific investigation into this matter.

Anybody who thinks online poker is rigged should read this article because after they read it they will be fully convinced and persuaded.

“The online poker rooms are run by professionals. Rigging is unprofessional, thus they do not engage in it.”

Yeah, we’d like to think so but you’re making a strong assumption here without any evidence to back it up. You’re deductive reasoning is flawed in that there is no consensus or evidence of the premise that online poker rooms are run by “professionals”.

Nice write up but im afraid to say absolute bullshit they do rig the sites of that im sure i dont even play online poker just live and i do make some money.

I have watched my girlfriend play on pokerstars and lose a lot of money which is very surprising considering that 80% of the time she has them dominated only to get beat by some miracle cards on the turn or river or runner runner for a flush or full house to beat a flush this does happen but no way as much as ive seen it happen on this site.

And you say that these sites are run by so called proffesionals tell me then why are they costa rican outlaws hiding away on an island somewhere does that sound proffesional to you sound to me like the they can do what they want especially if they cannot be touched.

And finally i made my girlfriend uninstall this dodgy software after she admitted to losing more than 4000 in 6 months to these miracle i outers and runner runner cards, she has since joined me playing in casinos and im glad to say is finally winning some money playing solid straight up poker, a little bit strange that she can outplay some very good players live where the play is a lot tougher but cant seem to win online with the best hand in nearly every all in situation.
