Poker Variations

There are many ways in which one can make money in the world today. One such ,method is by playing casino games the most common being the casino card games. There are several casino games the poker game of cards being the oldest and apparently the most popular. The poker game of cards come in a wide variety to choose from the most common being Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Seven Stud. Normally, these games are almost the same and they differ slightly especially on the number of card to be used and other slight variations. However the general rules of playing the poker game applies to all.

As a matter of fact research indicates there are more than 120 forms of poker game for players to choose from. However the most commonly played of all the poker variations include the draw poker, Omaha, Texas Hold’em and Seven Stud. Normally the unpopular or uncommon forms of poker variations are mainly played either on line or at home.

The most common of all poker variations is Texas Hold’em. However, this poker variations was not as popular until 10 years ago when there was introduced on line poker, and people came to know about it. Before it became popular Omaha poker variations was very popular especially in the late eighties and early nineties. This poker variations is not as popular now as it used to be 20 years ago but European countries still derive a lot of pressure and entertainment from this variations of poker and thus still plays this kind of poker

The seven card stud is yet another variations of poker that is mainly played by either three, four or five players. Five card stud is yet another poker variations and as the name suggests the players only have five cards. Generally, the five card stud is played in a similar manner to the seven card stud but the number of cards used for playing is limited to five. Another variation of poker is Chicago and is also very similar to the seven card stud but there are a few differences. Actually as mentioned earlier all variations of poker are almost the same and the variations is very slight.

Indiana poker variation is not a very common poker variation and is not known by many people. It is played by a minimum of two players and a maximum of ten players. The low variations of poker is played by a maximum of 7 people and a minimum of three people. This variation of poker is so much like the five card stud and the only difference is that in this particular variation, players aim at laying their hand s on the worst hand. To be able to know which is the best hand and the worst hand in the poker game of cards, there is a standard chart that used for rating all hands in the poker game. The only difference is that unlike in other poker games where the hand with the highest value wins, in this case the hand with the lowest value actually wins.
